Global financial markets fell on Monday as a result of widespread demonstrations against severe Covid regulations and an increase in the number of daily cases in China.
The DAX and STOXX 600 were both down close to 1%, while US futures also suggested a shaky opening. The Hang Seng, which fell 1.6% in Asia, had the worst performance, while the SSE lost 0.8%.
