The regional STOXX 600 closed more than 1% higher over the 430 level on Tuesday, with gains in real estate and financials companies helping European markets improve for the second straight session.
Investors welcomed German CPI data showing a decrease in inflationary pressures in December following the implementation of the government's programme to reduce household natural gas prices. Germany is the largest economy in Europe.
Hellofresh, a German company, increased its share price by nearly 9% to top the STOXX 600 in that regard. The oil sector's gains helped the benchmark DAX 40 in the domestic market increase by almost 0.9% to 14,200 points.
