As investors anticipated the results of the midterm elections and prepared for a crucial CPI data later this week, the Dow gained more than 400 points on Tuesday, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both increased by more than 1%.
The 10-Year Treasury yield was marginally lower while the dollar index declined below 110.
