Rising Borrowing Costs Send World's Stock Markets Down.

London, Monday, 29 August 2022

On Monday, the world's stock markets were down due to worries about rising borrowing costs as central banks around the world signalled they will keep raising interest rates to combat inflationary pressures.

Fed Chair Powell reaffirmed the need for a long period of restrictive monetary policy to lower inflation on Friday.
