Following a downwardly corrected 4.1 percent decline in the preceding months, retail sales in Lithuania decreased by 4.8 percent year over year in July 2022.
This was the second straight month that retail sales declined. Sales of non-food items (-0.2% vs. -0.4%), food, beverages, and tobacco (-8.8% vs. -6.9%), and vehicle gasoline in specialised stores all fell.
Retail sales increased by 0.6 percent on a monthly basis after declining by 1.2 percent in June.
