London, Wednesday, 14 December 2022
In November 2022, producer and import prices in Switzerland grew 3.8 percent compared to a year earlier, slowing from a 4.9 percent jump in October.
It was the lowest producer and import price inflation since July of 2021 as both import prices (5.8% vs. 7.7 % in October) and producer prices continued to slow down (2.8 percent vs 3.4 percent).
Producer and import prices decreased 0.5 percent on a monthly basis after remaining steady the previous month due to lower prices for petroleum and natural gas as well as chemical and pharmaceutical items.
Petroleum-based goods, however, rose in price.
