S&P, Dow End Lower As Stocks Pull Back From Record Highs

Major U.S. indexes close lower on Wednesday, pulling back from record highs of previous sessions.


S&P 500: -0.51%

Dow Jones: -0.74%

Nasdaq: mainly unchanged adding only 0.12 point to close at 15,235

10-years US Treasury notes: down 4.85% to 1.540%

Dollar index: -0.07% to 93.88


The VIX volatility index ended up, 6.26% to 16.98, while International benchmark Brent crude was trading at $83.42 per barrel on a 2.6% loss and US benchmark West Texas Intermediate was down 3% to $82.11.


Precious metals were mixed:

Gold: +0.25% to $1,797 per ounce

Silver: -0.35% to $24.07


Bitcoin down 5.4% at $58,850
