European Markets Summary
On Monday, European stock markets finished higher, with Germany's DAX climbing 0.8 percent to a 2-month high and the benchmark STOXX 600 rising 0.6 percent, led by gains in technology, as fears of a dramatic recession in the world's second-largest economy were eased. In Beijing and Shanghai, China began to lift several viral restrictions, including the reopening of enterprises, shopping malls, and most public transportation.
Meanwhile, new data revealed that business morale in the Eurozone remained unchanged in May, despite lower inflation predictions. Meanwhile, Germany's inflation rate accelerated in May, reaching levels not seen since 1973.
