On June 12-13, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg will visit Finland and Sweden, according to a news statement issued by the alliance on Friday.
Stoltenberg will meet with President Sauli Niinisto, Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto, and other top officials in Finland, according to the press release.
On Sunday, he will speak at the Kultaranta Talks, which will be organised under the topic "responsible, powerful, and stable Nordic area."
The NATO Secretary General will visit Sweden on Monday to meet with Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson and other government leaders.
During his visits, Stoltenberg will hold joint press briefings with Niinisto and Andersson.
On May 18, both countries formally requested to join NATO, a step prompted by Russia's Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine.
