U.S. stocks closed higher on Friday, despite inflation fastest pace in 39 years, while in Europe, high inflation concerns and economic slowdown worries among investors, sent the market lower.
In November, according to Destatis, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, the annual inflation rate in the country, stood at its highest rate since 1992, at 5.2%.
Meanwhile, in the U.K., the economy grew narrowly by an estimated 0.1%. According the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the U.K. economy is 0.5% below the pre-pandemic level of February 2020.
